Advising Services

COB undergraduate advising office is centralized with听advisors for business and design majors.听

  • Please see an advisor regularly or at least once a year听
  • Regular听appointments听are 30 minutes. 10-minute walk-in appointments are also available throughout term听for quick questions.听

Reminders

  • Make sure you check your ONID email account on a daily basis
  • Read the e-newsletter,This Week in Business,听each week for important COB information and updates
  • Students are expected to comply with the College of Business Code of Honor听including communicating with faculty, staff and fellow students in a professional, ethical and respectful manner

Opportunities

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE/STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS

For College of Business Majors听(outgoing):

  • Courses taught in English
  • Different countries
  • Successful completion of a Business Exchange program results in earning the International Business Option (not available with all majors and countries)
  • Scholarships and Financial Aid may apply
  • Does not necessarily delay graduation

For non-OSU international students wishing to study at OSU COB (incoming)

INTERNSHIPS

  • Visit the听Career Success Center听to learn about the many different opportunities available with well-known companies.
  • A听6-month听MECOP internship is available to some majors. See your advisor before you start your junior year.
  • Students can receive credit for an internship - ask an advisor for more information before starting the internship.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

  • Meet with the Graduate Programs Team to learn about the MBA, MSB, and more!
  • Most College of Business students can finish a masters level program in under a year.
  • The Accelerated Masters Platform (AMP) can allow students to take up to 22 credits of graduate coursework during their undergraduate degree which count for both programs.

SCHOLARSHIPS

  • One online application for most scholarships (visit听)
  • February 15 deadline for the following academic year for most scholarships
  • Additional funds may be available for students participating in Exchange programs through College of Business
