Launch Academy

Launch Academy students earn OSU credit for working on their businesses and have access to seed funding, prototyping equipment, co-working space, mentoring and training to help them advance their ideas. Launch Academy training helps students develop new products or services, market their ideas, build teams and secure funding, among other critical elements of entrepreneurial success.

Launch Pad

Launch Pad is a program for first-year students who are passionate about approaching problems in new ways and seeking toÌýdevelopÌýbig ideas. Launch Pad students get personalized support and mentorship while they learn how to innovate; and, they have the opportunity to create or grow a venture of their own as they get to know a community of other students eager to get new ideas off the ground.

OSU's Makerspace

The DAMLab

Located in Buxton Hall, the DAMlab gives OSU students hands-on experience with design and prototyping tools while enabling them to realize their business ideas.

Funding Opportunities

Launch Academy Grants

Students who participate in Launch Academy learnÌýhow to deliver aÌýpitch and ultimately compete to win cash grantsÌý(of up to $5,000, total) at the end of each term. Launch Academy students are also eligible for prototyping funds and travel grants.

Iterate — Accelerate — Launch

The Iterate,ÌýAccelerate and Launch programs, offered by the OSU Advantage Accelerator, focusÌýon high-growth, traded sector startup concepts and early stage organizations. The three-program approach is designed to best assist clients (students, faculty, staff and the greater OSU community)Ìýat all stages of growth, from identifying a potential product, marketÌýand industry to testing the feasibility of a startup and validating its business model to startup growth and scaling.
